JVC America (JAI) has the capacity to replicate over 13 million CDs and 11 million DVDs per month in its Tuscaloosa, Alabama plant. An additional 15 million CDs and 2 million DVDs are produced in our Rinkan, Japan facility. Blu-Ray manufacturing was added to our Japan plant in 2008 and is available through strategic partnership agreements in the United States.
JAI can assemble over 1 million full retail packages in a single day and has shipped over 25 million units in a single month and 30,000 separate destinations in a single day, filling orders as small as a single unit to tens of thousands per destination.
Wherever possible, JAI has engineered fully automated packaging lines to support standardized packaging formats including CD-audio, PC-CD/PC-DVD software “mini-box,” Microsoft X360®, Sony Playstation2® and Playstation3®, Nintendo Wii®, and DVD-video/audio. Internal automated packaging equipment also includes high-speed sleeving, clam and blister-seal, shrink-wrap and fin wrap.
Custom packaging is commonplace and semi-automated production work cells assure that JAI can assemble products of any complexity or construction with maximum flexibility and efficiency.
Temporary labor is used extensively under the close supervision of multiple dedicated on-site agencies. These partnerships make it possible for JAI to acquire and manage up to 1,700 temporaries per day, enabling us to respond quickly to customer needs.
