Company Overview

JVC America, Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of JVC Americas Corp. The company is privately held and has been doing business within the United States since April 1987. We are an operating unit of J&K Technologies, a newly formed joint venture company created by the merger of Victor Company of Japan (JVC) and Kenwood Electronics in 2008. Our joint holding company, JVC Kenwood Holdings, Inc., will be listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange effective October 1, 2008. In the fiscal year ending in March 2011, the new company aims for sales of 830 billion yen ($8.0 billion) and operating profit of 39 billion yen ($375.9 million). Combined operating profit for Victor and Kenwood was 9.6 billion yen ($92.5 million) last fiscal year.

As of January 1, 2008, JVC America, Inc. employed over 500 full-time persons. JVC America operates an optical disc replication plant in the U.S., located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama with a sister-manufacturing plant in Rinkan, Japan. In addition to our replication plant, JVC America operates comprehensive packaging and fulfillment facilities located in Kennesaw and Douglasville, Georgia, totaling nearly 1 million square feet, both within 20 minutes of Atlanta.

JVC America is considered one of the premier manufacturers of Compact Discs, CD-ROMs, and DVDs in the world. Reputed for its research and development, as well as contributions to the development of new technologies, JVC America produces the highest quality products with specifications that consistently exceed all industry specifications. The replication plant in Tuscaloosa and our fulfillment centers are ISO9002 certified by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and undergo annual SAS 70 certification by KPMG. The replication facility also received ISO 14001 (Environmental and Safety) certification.

JVC America has provided turnkey and distribution services since 1989. In addition to the replication of optical media, JVC offers comprehensive global supply chain management services; multimedia package assembly; warehousing; direct-to-store, DC, business-to-business, and end-user/e-commerce fulfillment; and 3PL and reverse logistics (returns) management.
